On Line Sales

Working in a Saturday is always sucks; and when you are in the office feeling restless, you blogs. It's been half year since I last blog.
The political scene in the country didn't improve since the last election; even with the change of PM and Cabinets. This boleh land of mine continue to churn out stupid policies, utterences, speeches and a host of decitions by politicians and beaureaucrats alike. Both ruling and opposition parties continue to hurling acusers to each other that they completely forgotten about the citizens of the country that they are supposed to serve and protect.
On my home front, my new found avenues of selling on line has allowed me to dispose off all the unwanted junks at home. At least I can now re-furnish the home with new fittings and furnitures. I am really suprise over the response each time something is post online for sale; as the saying goes; your junk is someone's treasure! My 23years old TV, 17years AV Amp, LD Player, VCR, 10years sofa set, 7years old PDAs, 17years Knife set, Bar Stools, Table Lamps, crystalwares, cameras ... and the list goes on.
I have contacted a friend and discuss the possibility of starting an on-line sales portal to cater for certain type of industry; wish me luck.

Its exactly a year since I last post on my blog. I intend to do more posting this year; sort of my New Year resolution.
Another 9 days and we will all celebrate CNY in Penang. I am glad that my Island got a new CM since the last GE. I really hope that he will make full use of the people's trust and chance given to make the pearl of the orient regain its long lost shine and lustre. The year's outlook seems to be bleak and gloomy for Penang but with some ingenuinty and Penangite's resilience, I am hoping that Penang will live to its "In Penang-We Lead" to get out of the dold drum and lead in the economic recovery and beyond.

It's been awhile since I last blog. The last few months has been very busy with relatives getting married and one was called home to the Lord. Christmas and New Year was as usual centered around family, relatives and friends. Carolling, Parties, Presents and Decorating Christmas tree make up all the time for December.
It was real refreshing to take a week's break with the family at Bali; it was an experienced staying at a private villa with your own swimming pool, masseur and cook. The Balinese cuisine of 'Babi Guiling, Ayam bertutu, Soto ayam, Nasi Goreng and Rojak' were just incredibly mouthwatering.
The cool weather and the view at Kintamani on the two volcano "Mt. Batur" and "Mt Agung" and the surrounding late is nothing but breathtaking; Sunset at Tanah Lot is also another sight to behold. The Balinese people are not only friendly, and very tourist oriented but their practicing of worshiping Hinduism is very captivating and uniquely Bali.
My previous visit to Bali was some ten years back and it won't be my last !

CM of Penang

The recent call by Penanag UMNO youth to rotate the Penang CM post among Barisan components party must have jolted Koh Tsu Khoon from his dream. Some even venture to say that Tsu Khoon is only good at accompany Pak Lah on his round when ever the PM visits Penang; inshort, he is only good at apple polishing.
I love my little islang in the sun. For the past decades under Tsu Khoon's administration, it has languishing behind other states in development and cleanliness. Many have also forgotten Penang's motto of "We Lead". KTK has failed miserably to lead Penang to greater heights, it's time that he be replace. The pearl is no longer shining, the waterfall is drying, the rubbish is piling, the tourist arrival is falling, the transport system is also falling apart. The only thing that is increasing is the rats population at gurney drive and the hawkers centres, so much so to the extend of choking not only the traffic but the drains and the rivers. One can easily visit any hawkers centers to see the hawkers washing and pouring any thing that they don't want into the drains, oil, laksa and koay teow included. Penang used to boast of many tourist attractions like Kek Lok Si and Snake Temples, Botanic/waterfall gardens, Penang hills and its vernacular railway, the sandy beaches with the casurina and palm trees, forn cornvallis at esplanate etc. Today, all this sites are in a deplorable states and is no longer listed as a tourist site by official publications.
KTK has no vision or any blueprint to take Penang forward and has nothing to show for the past 15 years in the helm; even the FTZ, Komtar and the Bridge are the legacy left behind by his predecessor who started from scratch of bringing a free trade dependent back water island to its electronic chips producing power house in the region, saving Penang from disaster after the duty free status was taken away.
The roads in Penang Island remains the same for the last 20years, it is still the same one that I used to cycle to school which usually takes 15minutes, now you probably have to take more than an hour by car covering similar routes. Progress..No; KTK has more than a decades to fixed it, he didn't. Its time to give others a chance to bring back the shine on this lovely pearl.

Haze and Flu Season

The haze and flu season is back! Year in and Year out, we have been subjected to this poluted burning air blanketed us blowing from our neigbouring country. Despite the many complaints, the slash and burn method of clearing vegetation continues. Sometimes, I wonder they received so many calamities, is it a punishment from the above?
Back to my lovely Island for a short trip, with the usual rushing and trying to tucking in all my favourites Penanag Special. From the seafood in Tambun, Lor Mee from Pulau Tikus, to the fish stock steam boat "Hu Lor" from Starview restaurant and its Chendol; all in less than 12 hours, as I was trying to make up the misses on my earlier trip back to attend a distant cousins wedding. By the time I am back in KL, I have got the flu, blame it on the Haze!!!
Here is the photos of newly wed couple who both resides in US.
